Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2014607A2] The pressure cap for pressurizing vessels containing drink has a carbon dioxide cartridge (3) or oxygen cartridge which by a lever arrangement is movable against a pin (5). The pin is arranged on a slide which lies in a recess and is movable against a plunger (8). A sealing element is arranged on an end of the plunger which faces the pin. The plunger is movably mounted in a bearing shell (10) and is in functional communication with a first end of a rocking lever (11). A bridge piece (13) with a first passage (14) provides a fluid connection between a piston (16) and a hole (12) in the slide. An independent claim is included for a method for pressurizing vessels which contain drink by using a pressure cap.
