[origin: EP2014746A2] A method for the production of fuel pellets or briquettes by impregnating rope made from wood wool in a bath of wax, especially paraffin wax, and then cooling and cutting the rope into pieces, involves drawing the rope continuously through the wax bath and then continuously cooling it and separating the pellets from the rope before the absorbed wax finally solidifies. An independent claim is included for fuel pellets made by the method described above, in which the density of wax on the outside of the pellets is greater than that inside the pellets.
