Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007129883A1] The invention relates to a baby bath, especially for use in a shower space, comprising a collapsible frame (1) having an upper circumferential edge (5) and at least three legs (4). A flexible watertight liner (2) is attachable to the upper circumferential edge of the frame and is capable of containing a volume of water in an operational position of the bath. The legs (4) are movable between a collapsed position in which they extend maximally at a small angle to the circumferential edge (5) and the operational position in which they extend at a larger angle with respect to the circumferential edge. The legs are provided with a locking mechanism (9, 11) to lock the legs (4) in their operational position. The liner is adapted to be folded with its circumferential edge (6) over the upper circumferential edge of the frame which is provided with a releasable liner lock (15) adapted to lock the liner in its position on the frame and to allow release again. The frame is made of moulded plastics, and consists mainly of a circumferential portion (3) and legs (4). The circumferential portion is formed by a plurality of identical frame parts (8), and the legs, which are identical as well, are connected to the circumferential portion of the frame by accommodation between two adjacent identical parts of the circumferential portion.
