Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007128421A1] The invention relates to a manually operated circuit breaker for motor protection and/or line protection. Such circuit breakers can be extended in modular fashion by replaceable additional modules being plugged on. The essence of the invention consists in the fact that an additional module in the form of an electronic control unit (130) is designed such that it can be plugged onto the basic assembly (100). The electrical supply energy supplying the load is looped through the control unit (130). Furthermore, the control unit (130), in particular in the form of its electronic circuit, draws its voltage supply from the main current path (102, 104) of the circuit breaker.
