Ein Abgasrückführsystem weist einen Kühler (10), einen Bypass (12), ein Kühlerventil (16) und ein Bypassventil (18) auf, wobei das Kühlerventil (16) und das Bypassventil (18) einen gemeinsamen Antrieb (44) in Form eines in zwei Richtungen drehbaren Drehantriebs oder einer Vakuumquelle aufweisen, und wobei jedes der beiden Ventile (16, 18) unabhängig von dem Fliesszustand des anderen Ventils (16, 18) öffenbar ist.
