The device has a seal (10) between a positioning cap and a housing (2) of a clock with an arranged bar (11,30) within region of positioning cap at the housing. A bolting device is provided for pressing positioning cap over the seal against the housing. The bolting device is screwed in the bar, at the exterior of the positioning cap affecting screwing element (3). An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing positioning cap of clock by a device.

Vorrichtung zum Abdichten der Einstellkrone (7) einer Uhr, insbesondere einer Armbanduhr, mit mindestens einer Dichtung (10) zwischen der Einstellkrone (7) und dem Gehäuse (2) der Uhr (1), mit einem im Bereich der Einstellkrone (7) am Gehäuse (2) angeordneten Steg (11, 30) und mit einem Verriegelungselement zum Andrücken der Einstellkrone (7) über die Dichtung (10) gegen das Gehäuse (2). Um die Einstellkrone (7) bedienungsfreundlich und zuverlässig gegen die Dichtung (10) zu drücken, ist das Verriegelungselement als ein im Steg (11, 30) schraubbares, auf die Außenseite der Einstellkrone (7) einwirkendes Schraubelement (3, 39) ausgebildet.
