[origin: EP1857012A1] The epilator has a deformable unitary epilating element (1) with adjacent discs (2) connected to each other by spacer and hinge elements (3), where the epilating element is made of a synthetic material particularly by injection of thermoplastic material. The hinge elements form a diverging region in which certain discs are parted from each other leaving open spaces (6), and form a converging compression region in which certain discs are pressed against each other to form tweezers for pinching and removing hair from skin.
