[origin: WO2007128551A2] According to the invention, a portable data support (1) can be personalised, wherein a selection device (8) on the data support (1) analyses commands (23) received by the data support (1) from a personalisation device (20) within a personalisation method. When the selection device (8) recognises the commands (23) as belonging to a particular personalisation method the selection device (8) activates the personalisation interface (9) on the data support, which supports said personalisation method. A flexible personalisation of the data support (1) independent of any proprietary personalisation method is achieved by the automatic selection of one of several personalisation interfaces (9) installed on the data support (1).
