Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2019157A1] The heald (20) has a metal ribbon section including an original width (B) at an end eyelet, where the width is unchanged. The metal ribbon section includes another width along a shaft (4), where the latter width is reduced due to a removal of material. A transition section is formed between the end eyelet and the shaft. The end eyelet includes a straight edge (9a) that extends to a point at which the transition section and the shaft provide an outward bend with an outward-directed edge section (9d). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a flat ribbon heald for providing a metal ribbon section.
