Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007135341A1] The invention relates to a hydraulically damped door closer (1) of the type comprising a housing in which there is mounted at least one drive shaft (4) which can move rotationally about an axis oriented in a first direction A, and at least one roller (5) which is also able to move rotationally about an axis oriented parallel to said first direction A, this roller (5) cooperating on the one hand with said shaft (4) and on the other hand with at least one primary piston (7) which is able to move translationally along an axis oriented in a second direction A' substantially perpendicular and secant to the first direction A and subjected to the action of return means, at least one secondary piston (8), which is able to move translationally along an axis oriented in the second direction A', enabling a variation in the volume of at least two hydraulic chambers (9, 9') connected by a system of passages (18, 18', 18'') formed in a hydraulic cell (31), said pistons (7, 8) both being located on the same side of the drive shaft (4), characterized in that the hydraulic cell (31) is positioned longitudinally between the return means and the drive shaft (4).
