Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1852155A1] A generating device (GD) (110) serves to generate coil-activating signals (CAS) for two coils with a multiplex process. The coils link to connections (120a,120b). In first and second time frames (TF), first and second coils are activated respectively according to a time multiplex process. The GD generates CAS at separate times so that a magnetic field is constant/static for a predetermined TF. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) A moving object to be localized in a position-fixing area fitted with two coils at different positions in respect of the position-fixing area; (2) A device for detecting information about a position of a moving object in a position- fixing area; (3) A system for determining a position of a moving object like a ball with magnetic sensors; (4) A goal with side posts and a crossbar; (5) A method for triggering two coils in different positions in respect of a position-fixing area; (6) A method for localizing in a position-fixing area; (7) A method for determining information about a moving object's position in a position-fixing area; (8) A computer program with a program code for carrying out the method of the present invention if the computer program runs on a computer or micro-controller.
