[origin: US2007051141A1] A suction apparatus for a water beam that directs a liquid jet at a passing a fabric web workpiece has a suction chamber extending transversely adjacent the jet and having a perforated lower wall sloping downward away from an upper region close to the water beam and a lower region remote therefrom. Air is withdrawn from inside the chamber to aspirate spray from adjacent the jet through the perforated lower wall.
