Abstract (en)
The connector has housing (10) accommodating a contact element (11) that comes in contact with a complementary contact element of a complementary connector. A fiber-optic cable (1) is arranged in the housing and is opened at a front side (10a) of the housing for displaying the optical signal. The fiber-optic cable is opened at the back side of the housing for supplying light signal at a position, where the fiber-optic cable is made of polycarbonate, polymethyl metacrylate (PMMA), transparent polyamide or ray cross-linked polyamide. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a printed circuit board assembly (2) a method for arranging a connector and an optical signal display.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Verbinder mit einem Gehäuse (10) für die Aufnahme von zumindest einem Kontaktelement (11) zum in Kontakt treten mit einem komplementären Kontaktelement eines komplementären Verbinders, wobei zumindest ein Lichtwellenleiter (1) in oder an dem Gehäuse (10) angeordnet ist und an einer Vorderseite (10a) des Gehäuses (10) freigelegt ist, um ein optisches Signal anzuzeigen.
