[origin: WO2007140944A1] The invention relates to a drive for braking energy recovery. The drive comprises a drive motor (2) which is connected to a transmission (3). The transmission has a transmission output shaft (5) and at least one coupling shaft (6). A hydrostatic piston machine (12) is connected to the coupling shaft. The drive also comprises a storage device (13, 14) which can be connected to the hydrostatic piston machine. The hydrostatic piston machine is connected to the coupling shaft.
