Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007128641A1] The invention relates to a condensation dryer 1 having a drying chamber (2) and a process-air circuit 3, 4, 5 for circulating process air through the drying chamber 2. The process-air circuit 3, 4, 5 leads from the drying chamber 2 first of all to a condenser 10 for cooling the process air, separating water from the process air and collecting the water in a first collecting vessel 11, then to a first fan 7, 20 for driving the process air, then to a heater 13 for heating the process air and then to the drying chamber 2 again. The first fan 7, 20 has a rotor 7 and a stator 20 which is configured as a process-air coil 20. According to the invention, a guiding arrangement 12, 17, 19 is formed between the process-air coil 20 and the first collecting vessel, through which guiding arrangement 12, 17, 19 water can be transported from the fan 7, 20 into the first collecting vessel 11. In the method according to the invention for drying laundry in a condensation dryer 1 of this type, water which is accumulated in the process-air coil 20 is transported through the guiding arrangement 12, 17, 19 into the first collecting vessel 11 by means of a pressure difference which is produced between the condenser 20 and the fan 7, 20.
