[origin: WO2007138020A1] In order to generate a joint transformed image data record, use is made of a first image data record and a second image data record each having a set of nodes, wherein the nodes of the first image data record are in the form of spatial coordinates of a first coordinate system and the nodes of the second image data record are in the form of spatial coordinates of a second coordinate system. A corresponding data equivalent is respectively assigned to the image data records. A plurality of data equivalents can be combined with one another, wherein the position of the data equivalents, after they have been combined with one another, is represented in a superordinate coordinate system. The spatial coordinates of the coordinates from the first and second coordinate systems are transformed into the superordinate coordinate system taking into account the combined data equivalents.
