The device (P) has a housing (1) accommodating a pressing tool with a drive for moving the pressing tool with an electronic control-and-monitoring device. The electronic control-and-monitoring device comprises an electronic information memory and exhibits an universal serial bus (USB)socket (7) for the connecting a laptop (8) using a USBcable (9). The USBsocket is covered by a dummy plug that is insertable into an opening of the housing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an arrangement for technical diagnosis of a pressing device (2) a method for technical diagnosis of a pressing device.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Pressgerät (P) zum Verbinden von Werkstücken, ins-besondere ein elektrohydraulisches Pressgerät, mit einem Gehäuse (1) zur Aufnahme eines Presswerkzeuges, mit einem Antrieb zum Bewegen des Presswerkzeuges sowie mit einer elektronischen Steuer- und Überwachungseinheit, die einen elektronischen Informationsspeicher umfasst. Um eine vereinfachte technische Diagnose zu ermöglichen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass die elektronische Steuer- und Überwachungseinheit ein Interface (7) zum Anschluss eines Computers (8) aufweist. Eine Anordnung und ein Verfahren zur Durchführung einer technischen Diagnose des Pressgerätes werden ebenfalls beansprucht.
