[origin: WO2007128845A1] Method for providing protection and for eliminating infestations of xylophages in wooden objects, in which the wooden object is chilled for at least one hour until the operating temperature (ot) of -10°C ± 40°C (and preferably between -15°C and 20°C) is obtained, the object being kept at said operating temperature for between 16 and 24 hours, after which it is returned to ambient temperature and then treated with an anti-xylophage chemical. Said method is applicable to the restoration of furniture.

Procédé destiné à offrir une protection et à éliminer des xylophages proliférant dans des objets en bois, au cours duquel l'objet en bois est refroidi pendant au moins une heure pour atteindre une température de régime (tr) de -10°C ± 40°C (de préférence entre -15°C et -20°C), température à laquelle l'objet sera maintenu pendant une durée comprise entre 1 6 et 24 heures ; au terme de cette période, l'objet sera progressivement ramené à température ambiante avant d'être traité à l'aide d'un produit chimique contre les xylophages. Applicable à la restauration de meubles.
