Abstract (en)

Device for applying a base to a tubular container comprises a punching unit for punching a base disk from a band (1), a unit for passing a band made from base material to the punching unit, a holder (3) for the container, a stamp for inserting a base disk into the end of the container and a sealing unit for sealing the base to the container wall. An independent claim is also included for a method for applying a base to a tubular container. Preferred Features: The device also has a unit for forming a peripheral edge of the base disk. The holder for the container has an opening (7) with a wall surrounding the container.

Abstract (de)

Zum Anbringen eines Bodens an einem endseitig offenen Behälter (26) wird der Boden als Bodenscheibe (19) aus einem Band (1) ausgestanzt. Anschließend wird der Boden durch eine Öffnung mit einem kleineren Durchmesser hindurch geschoben, um seinen Randbereich umzubiegen. Dann wird der Boden in das offene Ende des Behälters eingeschoben und dort versiegelt. Während des Einschiebens wird der Behälter von einer Halterung (3) gehalten, die zwei voneinander weg bewegbare Backen (4,5) mit jeweils einer halben Öffnung aufweist. Zum Durchführen dieses Verfahrens ist eine Vorrichtung vorgesehen.
