Abstract (en)

A knitting method of an intersia pattern fabric and a weft knitting machine in which the condition of yarn catch can be improved. As shown at (a), when a knitting yarn (5) is kept hooked from the knitting needle (3a) of high tuck on the starting side of a section to the knitting needle (3d) of high tuck on the ending side, inclination angle of the knitting yarn (5) becomes ?. Drawing-in of the knitting needle (3d) on the ending side is preceded. As a result of preceded drawing-in, inclination angle of the knitting yarn (5) decreases to f and the timing at which the knitting yarn (5) is hooked to the hook (6b) can be delayed.Because of this timing lag, yarn catch at the knitting needle (3b) begins after knock over is started at the knitting needle (3a) on the starting side.; Knock over started at the knitting needle (3a) can decrease a level difference of the knitting yarn (5) at an adjoining knitting needle (3b) and the condition of yarn catch can be improved.
