The device has a valve needle (12) controlling the opening of an injection opening by longitudinal movement. Control chambers (16, 35) exert pressure indirectly on the valve needle and stay in connection with a high pressure canal by an inlet (38). A latency piston (40) is arranged in the inlet such that the piston moves into the control chamber (35) when the pressure in the control chamber (35) is decreased to reduce the volume of the control chamber (35). The piston with an inlet canal (44) moves against the spring force of a latency spring (42) in the control chamber.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Kraftstoffeinspritzventileinrichtung zur Einspritzung von Kraftstoff in einen Brennraum einer Brennkraftmaschine, mit einer Ventilnadel (55), die durch ihre Längsbewegung die Öffnung wenigstens einer Einspritzöffnung steuert, und mit einem Steuerraum (56), dessen Druck wenigstens mittelbar auf die Ventilnadel (55) wirkt und der durch einen Zulauf mit einem Hochdruckkanal in Verbindung steht. Um eine robuste, verschleißarme Kraftstoffeinspritzventileinrichtung zu schaffen, welche die Einspritzung von Kleinstmengen und/oder Mehrfacheinspritzungen ermöglicht, ist ein Latenzzeitkolben (60) so in dem Zulauf angeordnet, dass sich der Latenzzeitkolben (60), wenn der Druck im Steuerraum (56) abfällt, so in den Steuerraum (56) hinein bewegt, dass das Volumen des Steuerraums (56) abnimmt.
