The device (10) has an operating unit (20) comprising an actuating unit (14) that is operated by an operator, where the actuating unit is rotatably supported around two axes (24, 26). A display unit (17) is provided for displaying an operating menu of a household appliance, where the display unit is moved from an inactive operating mode to an active operating mode when pressing the actuating unit. A control unit (22) is provided for operating the menu, and a household appliance front panel limits the operating area of the actuating unit.

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Haushaltsgerätebedienvorrichtung mit zumindest einer Bedieneinheit (20), welche wenigstens ein Betätigungselement (14) zur Betätigung durch einen Bediener aufweist, das um eine erste Achse (24) drehbar gelagert ist, mit einer Anzeigeeinheit (17) zur Anzeige eines Haushaltsgerätebetriebsmenüs (19) und einer Steuereinheit (22), die im Zusammenwirken mit dem Betätigungselement (14) zu einer Bedienung des Haushaltsgerätebetriebsmenüs (19) vorgesehen ist. Um den Bedienkomfort zu erhöhen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Betätigungselement (14) um wenigstens eine zweite Achse (26) drehbar gelagert ist.
