A rotary selector forming a control element comprises a rotatably mounted control portion (16) and an adapter (18) having a latching section with side faces formed and arranged in a circumferential direction. A stationary spring element (22) is disposed with the latching section of the adapter, and has elastic legs formed and arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction of the latching section and extending relative to the side faces. A rotary selector forming a control element comprises a rotatably mounted control portion (16) and an adapter (18) rotationally fixed to the control portion and disposed to assume rotary positions to be detected and transmitted to the electronic control system. The adapter has a latching section with side faces formed and arranged in a circumferential direction. A stationary spring element (22) is disposed with the latching section of the adapter, and has elastic legs formed and arranged uniformly in the circumferential direction of the latching section and extending tangentially relative to the side faces of the latching section. The side faces of the latching section are an integral multiple of the elastic legs of the spring element.

Es wird ein Drehwähler als Bedienelement zur Eingabe einer Stellgröße an eine elektronische Steuerung, der insbesondere für eine Bedienungseinrichtung eines elektronischen Haushaltsgeräts wie beispielsweise einer Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine und dergleichen einsetzbar ist, vorgeschlagen. Der Drehwähler weist ein drehbar gelagertes Bedienteil (16) und einen Adapter (18), der mit dem Bedienteil (16) drehfest verbunden ist und dessen Drehstellung erfassbar oder übertragbar ist, auf. Erfindungsgemäß weist der Adapter (18) einen Rastabschnitt (19) mit einer vorbestimmten Anzahl von in Umfangsrichtung gleichmäßig angeordneten und ausgebildeten Seitenflächen (20) auf und koaxial zum Rastabschnitt des Adapters (18) ist ein ortsfestes Federelement (22) vorgesehen, das eine vorbestimmte Anzahl von elastischen Stegen (24) aufweist, die in Umfangsrichtung des Rastabschnitts (19) gleichmäßig angeordnet und ausgebildet sind und tangential zu den Seitenflächen (20) des Rastabschnitts verlaufen, wobei die Anzahl der Seitenflächen (20) des Rastabschnitts (19) ein ganzzahliges Vielfaches der Anzahl der elastischen Stege (24) des Federelements (22) beträgt.
