[origin: WO2007140898A2] The invention relates to a contact lens container comprising a housing (1) and a lid (2) by means of which the housing (1) can be closed, and with a lens carrier (3) for receiving two curved contact lenses, said carrier being inserted into and removed from the housing (1) by means of the lid (2). In order to produce a contact lens container which, whilst having a simple construction requires only a little contact lens fluid in order to wet the contact lenses completely, the invention proposes that the housing (1) has a noncircular cross-section surface (22). Alternatively, it is proposed that the lid (2) can be attached to the housing (1) via a locking attachment (23). Alternatively, it is proposed that the lens carrier (3) is designed such that the two lenses can be inserted into the housing (1) with their curves aligned, at least substantially, in one direction (8).
