[origin: WO2007140755A1] The invention relates to a lock (1), in particular for a domestic appliance such as a tumble dryer, a washing machine, a dishwasher or the like, comprising a moveable retaining element (3) which is particularly designed in the manner of a rotary catch. The retaining element (3) interacts with a bolt which is located on a closing element, such as a door, a cover, a flap or the like, of the domestic appliance in that the retaining element (3) fixes the bolt in a first position and releases the bolt in a second position. An elastic element which comprises a leg spring (5), to be precise particularly in the form of a double leg spring, acts on the retaining element (3) with a force in the direction of the first position.
