Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2007138195A1] The invention concerns a foundry reheating furnace including an enclosure provided with burners for reheating foundry products travelling from one end of the furnace to another, said enclosure comprising a downstream zone, relative to the direction of movement of foundry products within the tunnel, which zone is associated with the discharge of said products and sealed by a discharge door. According to the invention, the downstream discharge zone (34) is defined, on the upstream side, by at least one geometric obstacle (50) defining a discharge lock, said at least one geometric obstacle being arranged to enable separation of the flows and heat transfers, so that the foundry products in the discharge lock are thermally homogenised.
