The component i.e. armour component , has a steel plate divided into three areas, where two of the areas (10a, 10c) have reduced board thickness and the third area has increased board thickness. The area with the increased board thickness lies in an area of a bending angle or radius, and the areas with the reduced board thickness lie in an area of the component formed in a vehicle, where the component is thermo-formed and press-hardened. A projectile of a fire arm meets the component at an angle other than 90 degrees.

Es wird vorgeschlagen, ein dreidimensional geformtes Bauteil (4, 5, 6) aus einer Stahlplatine (1, 2, 3) zur Panzerung eines Fahrzeugs so auszulegen, dass die Stahlplatine (1, 2, 3) in einen Bereich mit verminderter (2 a, 2 c) und in einen Bereich mit erhöhter Wandstärke (2 b) unterteilt ist und die Stahlplatine (1, 2, 3) im Bereich eines Biegewinkels oder Radius (10 b, 20 b) eine im Verhältnis zu einem ebenen Bereich (10 a, 10 c, 20 a, 20 c) des Bauteils (4, 5) erhöhte Wandstärke (1 b, 2 b, 3 b) aufweist oder dass ein Bereich mit verminderter Wandstärke (7) in einem Bereich des in das Fahrzeug eingebauten dreidimensional geformten Bauteils (6) liegt, der ausschließlich in einem Winkel ungleich 90° von einem Geschoss getroffen oder von einem anderen Bauteil überdeckt wird. Hierzu kommen erfindungsgemäß maßgeschneiderte Platinen (1, 2, 3) zum Einsatz, die beispielsweise durch ein flexibles Walzen, das Fügen von verschiedenen Stahlblechen (1) oder eine spanende Bearbeitung (2) in Bereiche mit höherer (1 b, 2 b, 3 b) und in Bereiche mit niedrigerer Wandstärke (1 a, 1 c, 2 a, 2 c, 3 a) eingeteilt sind.
