[origin: CA2652515A1] Illnesses or injuries are usually accompanied by pain, with pain itself n ow being regarded as an illness and increasingly occurring as an independent symptom. The present invention relates to wafer-like presentations for pain therapy, based on hydrophilic polymers, which rapidly dissolve or disintegr ate in a watery environment and which release active agent combinations when placed into a body orifice or body cavity, and which are preferably orally administered, with the presentation containing an active agent combination c onsisting of an opioid and a second substance, wherein the second active age nt is a non-steroidal anti-rheumatic (NSAR) or an antidepressant.
