Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1860167A1] Composite material comprises two substrates, optionally coated with primer, bonded together by an adhesive layer with a concave edge. Independent claims are also included for: (1) producing a composite material as above by applying adhesive to the surface of one substrate in the form of a triangular bead, contacting the adhesive with the surface of the other substrate, applying pressure to one or both substrates, and applying tensile force to one or both substrates before the adhesive has hardened; (2) producing a composite material as above by placing two profiles with convex edges on one of the substrates, applying adhesive between the profiles, and applying pressure to one or both substrates; (3) producing a composite material as above by applying adhesive to the surface of one substrate in the form of a triangular bead, contacting the adhesive with the surface of the other substrate, applying pressure to one or both substrates, and removing adhesive with a rounded spatula before the adhesive has hardened.
