[origin: WO2007135071A1] The invention relates to a method for printing substrates, characterised in that said substrates are pre-treated with a composition containing a polymer that is obtained by the radical polymerisation of ethylenically unsaturated compounds (monomers), (referred to henceforth as the polymer). According to the invention, monomers comprising two carboxylic acid groups (dicarboxylic acid) or a dicarboxylic acid anhydride group (referred to henceforth as the anhydride monomer) constitute at least 1 % by weight of the monomers.
