The cleaner has a base unit (2) that is movable by a chassis on a surface to be cleaned, and including a brush motor and a LED within a front region along a travel direction. A cable (102) is guided between the upper body and a motor blower, and the brush motor and the LED in the front region of the base unit. The upper body and the base unit are formed to be pivotable together around a horizontal axis in a usage condition by a pivoted joint. The cable is arranged around the axis of pivoted joint in cable ducts, where the pivoted joint is provided with a bifurcated duct component enclosure.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Staubsauger (1) des Upright-Typs mit einem Oberkörper (3) mit Staubsammelbehälter, mit einer Bodeneinheit (2), welche durch ein Fahrwerk auf der zu reinigenden Fläche bewegbar ist, und welche in ihrem in Fahrtrichtung vorderen Bereich elektrische Verbraucher (20, 32) besitzt, wobei zwischen dem Oberkörper (3) und den elektrischen Verbrauchern (20, 32) im vorderen Bereich der Bodeneinheit (2) Kabel (102) geführt sind, und wobei Oberkörper (3) und Bodeneinheit (2) mittels eines Kippgelenks um eine im Gebrauchszustand horizontale Achse (X) zueinander verschwenkbar ausgebildet sind. Um die elektrischen Kabel vor einer zu starken Belastung zu schützen, sind die Kabel (102) um die Achse (X) des Kippgelenks herum in Kabelkanälen (58, 59) angeordnet.
