[origin: EP2030552A2] The cleaner (1) has an upper body (3) pivotably supported with respect to a base unit (2) and locked in a parking position in which the cleaner engages to a surface to be cleaned. An engine blower produces negative pressure that acts on the surface and an air duct leads from the base unit to a dust collector. The air duct has an interface and a component that is formed as a hose or hose-tube combination, enabling a suction mode independent of the base unit. A pipe section pivotably supported at the upper body enables a transition of the hose to the upper body.
