The device has a grinding disk (2) rotatably mounted around a rotational axis in a rotational direction (D), and including a cylindrical shaped abrasive grinding upper surface (2a). A guide component (3) is arranged straight adjacent to the upper surface, and includes a guiding surface such that the guiding surface and the upper surface forms a gap (S) i.e. V-shaped gap. The gap is cumulatively tapered opposite to the rotational direction, and runs parallel in a direction of the axis. A support part (4) with a support surface (4a) is arranged straight adjacent to the upper surface.

Die Schleifvorrichtung (1), insbesondere zum Schleifen und/oder Schärfen von Messern, umfasst eine um eine Drehachse (D1) in Drehrichtung (D) drehbar gelagerte Schleifscheibe (2) mit einer zylinderförmigen Schleifoberfläche (2a) umfassend abrasive Mittel, sowie umfasst ein Führungsteil (3), welches unmittelbar neben der Schleifoberfläche (2a) der Schleifscheibe (2) angeordnet ist, wobei das Führungsteil (3) eine derart verlaufende Führungsfläche (3a) aufweist, dass die Führungsfläche (3a) sowie die Schleifoberfläche (2a) einen Spalt (S) ausbilden, der sich entgegengesetzt zur Drehrichtung (D) zunehmend verjüngt und der parallel in Richtung der Drehachse (D1) verläuft, und dass unmittelbar neben der Schleifoberfläche (2a) der Schleifscheibe (2) ein Auflageteil (4) mit einer zum Spalt (S) hin verlaufenden Auflagefläche (4a) angeordnet ist.
