Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2030946A1] The stirrup has a single half-arch i.e. rod (1), connected between a floor (5) of the stirrup and a grommet (4) provided with an orifice (15) that allows assembling/disassembling of the stirrup on a stirrup leather (14). A maintaining unit maintains a rider's foot in the stirrup to allow release of the foot from the stirrup in case of fall. The grommet has an upper central branch (4a) for supporting the leather, a side branch (4b) in connection with the arch, and another side branch (4c) whose distal end is connected and separated from the branch (4b) to form the orifice of the grommet.
