[origin: EP2031160A2] The lock-and-key combination consists of a flat key (1) to fit in the closing cylinder housing, with a grip (2) and a shaft (3) with shaped grooves (5) running along it. At least one of its side surfaces is divided into several adjacent sectors, retaining the thickness of the shaft over the axial length, except that the shaft thickness is less in at least one sector than in the adjacent sector.
