Abstract (en)

[origin: EP2031237A1] The nozzle (10) has a nozzle head (3) with nozzle outlets (4.1, 4.2) for injecting fuel into a combustion chamber of a diesel engine. An injection valve has a valve needle (6) and a valve seat (7), which is connected with the outlets by passages (5.1, 5.2). The valve seat cooperates with the valve needle for controlling fuel supply to the outlets. An emptying device e.g. compressed air reservoir (15), is provided for emptying the passages. A line (17) is connected with the emptying device and maintains connection with one passage to empty the passage during closing the injection valve.
