[origin: EP2031704A2] The device has a tapping contact (10) arranged on a pressure plate (6) in such a manner that the production of a connection to a flat cable (4) takes place by force admission of the pressure plate to the flat cable such that the penetration of the tapping contact into the flat cable is effectuated. The tapping contact exhibits a cutter that runs in a longitudinal direction of the flat cable or runs to the flat cable in a slightly inclined manner. The tapping contact is broadened on viewing in a cross section perpendicular to the cutter.
