Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2034059A2] The method involves storing a fiber band (FB) after leaving a spinner preparation machine i.e. drawing frame (1). Weight and length of the stored fiber band are determined, and a length related band weight of the fiber band is determined. A storage device is provided for receiving the fiber band. A can i.e. spinning can (17), is utilized as the storage device. The weight of the fiber band is determined from the difference of the empty weight of the storage device and the total weight of the storage device including the fiber band. An independent claim is also included for a spinner preparation machine i.e. drawing frame.
