Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2008001405A2] A filtration device comprising at least a metallic or metallized fabric at least partially coated with nanostructured titania in which at least 10% of said titania is anatase, is provided. Owing to titania photocatalytic activity, this device finds application in the decontamination of fluids polluted with organic or inorganic substances. The advantage resulting from the use of such fabrics coated according to the invention is the large active surface area in contact with the fluids to be decontaminated together with the photocatalytic activity of the titania coating, as well as the possibility to suitably reactivate such devices.
