Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008000535A1] The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing vibrations, comprising at least two rotatable roller pairs, at least one frame and a housing, wherein the rollers or roller pairs are disposed substantially parallel to one another in relation to the rotational axes thereof and each roller pair comprises at least one drive. At least one roller of each roller pair is provided with at least one unbalance element, and the rollers are mounted rotatably in the frame which can be displaced at least longitudinally, wherein the frame comprises at least one removal device for driving particularly a component or an assembly in a paper-making machine. The frame is disposed within the housing and the apparatus is characterized in that the drives for the rollers are connected to the housing of the apparatus in a substantially stationary manner and the torque is transmitted to the rollers rotatably connected to the longitudinally displaceable frame by means of a radially displaceable torque coupling.
