According to said method, at least one sensor (3) that is located in the interior of the tyre (10), in particular an acceleration sensor, generates a signal that is assigned to physical variables of the vehicle tyre (2) and/or roadway (8). The signal is used to determine the condition of the tyre and/or characteristics of the roadway (8).
