[origin: WO2008000199A1] The invention relates to an actuator for actuating a safety switch having a fixing element, an actuating element, and a connection arrangement for connecting said elements. The teaching of the invention discloses a technical method which proposes a universally applicable and low-cost activator. To this end, the connection arrangement is implemented with at least one elastic element, which is pretensioned by means of at least one pretensioning element. Due in particular to the internal mounting of the pretensioning element inside the elastic element, a very simple and robust structure of the connection arrangement is achieved.
