Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2036710A2] The rotor (10) has upper and lower die guides (12, 14) for upper and lower punches (22, 24) and cooperate with boreholes (18, 20) of a die table (16). An extrusion die has shanks movable by a sealing arrangement sealed in boreholes of the guides. A rotation preventing unit arranged between the shanks and guide boreholes prevents rotation of the die in the guide boreholes. The shanks have an irregular profile in cross section and the cross section of the guide boreholes is complementary. The guide boreholes are formed of guide bushings, which are made of a ceramic material or hard metal.
