Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2008000594A1] The invention relates to a door (2, 3, 5) for a domestic appliance, in particular a laundry care appliance, comprising an opening element (23, 33, 431, 53) and a latch device (27), which has a displaceable latch bolt (272a) and which can be mechanically coupled to the opening element (23, 33, 431, 53) in such a way that by actuating the opening element (23, 33, 431, 53) in at least one actuation mode the latch bolt (272a) can be displaced. The latch device (27) is designed in such a way that it can be used in several actuation modes and that the latch bolt (272b) can be displaced in one single direction, irrespective of the actuation mode of the opening element (23, 33, 431, 53). The invention also relates to a laundry care appliance comprising a door (2, 3, 5) of this type.
