[origin: DE102006029978B3] The method involves receiving a shearing movement of a part of a disc brake (1) e.g. floating caliper-disc brake, by a sensor e.g. eddy current sensor (30). The movement is received in order to balance back to an actual operative axial force based on a sensor measuring signal in a measuring signal-processing logic. A part of a brake caliper (5) of the disc brake is utilized as a target, where the sensor and the target are moved with respect to each other in the course of shearing. An independent claim is also included for a device for measuring operative axial force at a disc brake, in particular a floating caliper-disc brake of a motor vehicle.
