Abstract (en)
[origin: EP2039437A1] The method involves mixing special postal items with standard postal items at an inlet (2) of a sorting machine (1), where each special item has a special radio frequency identification (RFID) tag with a unique RFID code (IDc). Each item is displaced before an RFID code detector (4) in the sorting machine. Data indicating a passage date of the item in the machine is stored in an information base (7) of a server (8) in correspondence with the respective code after detecting the code on the item.
