Abstract (en)
The printer has a feed roller (38) designed to hold a lenticular card (40), and a thermal roller (39) designed to hold an intermediate film (36) bearing an image to print, where the feed and thermal rollers are arranged opposite to each other. The feed and thermal rollers function synchronously to hold the lenticular card and the intermediate film under pressure during fixing of the film by hot lamination, and to allow an automatic mechanical registration of the image relative to convex lenticules (41). An independent claim is also included for a method for performing a reverse thermal sublimation printing of a lenticular card.

L'invention concerne un procédé et une imprimante par sublimation thermique inverse adaptée pour imprimer la surface plane (42) d'une carte (40) lenticulaire, ladite surface plane étant opposée aux lenticules (41), par application d'un film intermédiaire (36) portant l'image à imprimer. Cette imprimante comprend : - un système mécanique (38) apte à agripper la carte lenticulaire, à l'entraîner en mouvement et à la maintenir sous pression pendant l'application du film intermédiaire portant l'image à imprimer, et - un moyen de positionnement du film intermédiaire (36) par rapport au système mécanique (38) de manière à assurer la registration de l'image à imprimer par rapport aux lenticules de la carte.
