[origin: EP2039939A1] The method involves detecting or calculating performance-based sizes of a functional unit automatically in time intervals. The performance-based sizes of a functional unit are compared with each other or with pre-set values. A corresponding signal is generated depending on the comparison. The energy conversion device consists of multiple functionally interrelated functional units. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a rotary pump aggregate with an electric motor and a driven rotary pump; (2) a compressor aggregate with an electric motor and a driven displacement pump; (3) a cooling aggregate with an electric motor and a driven displacement pump; and (4) a heating system with a burner and one of the heated water circulations.
