The method according to the invention has the following steps: constructing a lower tower crane part (20) to the desired height as far as a lower tip part (21); assembling a hoisting jib system (10) separately from the lower tower crane part (20), subsequently constructing a counter-jib (40) and connecting the counter-jib (40) to the crane parts (10, 20) already assembled.
