Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102006030895A1] The system has a sensor (1) for detecting a measured variable and emitting a measured value-dependent sensor signal, a data processing unit (2) which evaluates the sensor signal and the data processing unit has a data storage (3), in which the variables of different types of operating data of the sensor are stored. The data processing unit determines variables for two different state variables of the measuring system where the variables of two different types of operating data enter in each of the two state variables. The data processing unit classifies a state of the measuring system on the basis of the values of two state variables. An IDEPENDENT claim is also included for a method for classifying the condition of a sensor.
